The USB-C power supply with Power Delivery facilitates rapid charging where the device to be connected also has Power Delivery technology.
The connected device determines the appropriate charge voltage from the power supply options. 5, 9, 15 or 20 volts are possible with 3.25 amps. That gives a charging capacity of up to 65 watts (20 V x 3.25 A).
