The switches and rockers of the new and previous switch generation in the System 55 are fully compatible in terms of aesthetics. Only on a technical level can the generations not be combined, due to the new rocker holder.

The hotel-card switch can perform security and energy saving functions, for example.
When the hotel card is removed, any devices which are still switched on are deactivated.
The electric circuit is only activated via the button once the card has been inserted.
